Founded centuries ago on the banks of the Gironde Estuary, Château Latour has long stood among Bordeaux's five legendary First Growth estates. The property has earned its reputation through meticulous vineyard management, uncompromising selection, and an unwavering commitment to producing wines capable of aging for generations. In addition to its iconic Grand Vin and Les Forts de Latour, the estate has produced Pauillac de Château Latour since 1989, allowing collectors to experience the Latour philosophy through a wine designed for earlier accessibility while remaining unmistakably Pauillac.

The 2021 vintage is composed of 60.9% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% Merlot, and 11.1% Petit Verdot. The growing season produced a classically proportioned Bordeaux with moderate alcohol, vibrant acidity, and beautifully defined Cabernet character. Aromas of cassis, blackberry, graphite, crushed violets, cedar, lavender, and cigar box lead into a palate that is refined rather than opulent, emphasizing purity, freshness, and finely textured tannins. James Suckling awarded the wine 93 points, praising its ripe fruit, elegant texture, and harmonious balance.

What makes Pauillac de Château Latour so compelling is its authenticity. This is not simply a second label attached to a famous estate; it is produced with the same philosophy, vineyard care, and precision that have made Château Latour one of the world's benchmark Cabernet Sauvignon producers. The result is a wine that offers true Left Bank character, remarkable food versatility, and exceptional aging potential without requiring Grand Vin pricing.
