The 2023 Hudson Estate Chardonnay comes from Hudson Ranch in Carneros, one of California's most respected sources of Chardonnay. Lee Hudson began developing the property in 1981, building a diverse working ranch where vineyards exist alongside other crops and livestock, with an emphasis on responsible farming and long-term stewardship.
The 2023 is 100% Chardonnay drawn from the Ladybug, Little Bit and Seashell vineyard blocks. It spends 22 months on its lees in French oak, 70% new, producing a Chardonnay of considerable depth without sacrificing the natural freshness of Carneros. Honeyed stone fruit, orchard fruit and citrus are layered with toasted bread, almond and crushed stone, carried by a rich, silky texture and mineral-driven finish. Production was approximately 1,511 cases.
