Introduced by Giovanni Manetti in 1981, it became one of the pioneering wines that helped redefine Tuscany and establish the global reputation of top-tier Sangiovese. The wine is sourced entirely from Fontodi's organically farmed estate vineyards and reflects the unique limestone and galestro soils that define this exceptional corner of Chianti Classico.

The 2022 vintage combines richness with remarkable freshness. James Suckling awarded it 97 points, highlighting its complexity, dark fruit profile, and balance. Aromas of black cherry, plum, fresh violets, licorice, leather, and graphite emerge from the glass, while the palate delivers layers of concentrated Sangiovese fruit framed by polished tannins and vibrant acidity.

What separates Flaccianello from many luxury wines is its ability to remain unmistakably Sangiovese.
