Low yields, centuries of winemaking knowledge, and one exceptional vintage.
Robin Lail’s great-uncle founded Inglenook in 1879. Her father mentored Robert Mondavi. She co-founded Dominus with Christian Moueix and Merryvale with Bill Harlan before launching her own estate. This wine carries all of that history.
The 2022 J. Daniel Cuvee is luscious and concentrated with intense black cherries and cassis, velvety tannins, and a plush, long finish with no trace of over-ripeness. 100% Cabernet Sauvignon sourced from Calistoga, Oakville and Stags Leap. Philippe Melka has been the winemaker since the beginning. Drink well over the next 15 years or more. Decant 1.5 hours. 98 pts Wine Advocate.
