The house that built its reputation one disgorgement at a time.
From the oldest parcel in the JL Vergnon estate, adjacent to Les Chetillons in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger. 60 year old vines. 100% Chardonnay. Aged in 300 litre French oak casks. Zero dosage. Seven to eight years in the cellar before disgorgement.
The 2013 is powerful and dense with apricot, hazelnut, pastry, baked apple tart and a bright, saline mineral finish from the shallow chalky soils of Le Mesnil. This is not a casual bottle. It is a serious Blanc de Blancs from one of the Cote des Blancs’ most precise and environmentally committed estates, certified HVE. Best drinking 2025 through 2030. Best served with something worthy of it.
