Not the most flamboyant Cheval Blanc I have tasted at this stage. It is the most precise.
Blackcurrant, blue fruit, iris petals, crushed stone and incense on the nose. Breathtaking delineation on the palate with seamless tannins and palpable verticality. Premier Grand Cru Classe A, Saint-Emilion. No Petit Cheval made in 2022 – 78% of production went into this bottle. A wine Neal Martin describes as belonging to those serious about their Bordeaux, one that gives the same satisfaction as finishing a literary masterpiece. Begin drinking 2028.
