Rose, violet, smoke, sour citrus. It stops you mid conversation.
Then crisp red berry fruits on the palate with a mineral quality that could only come from volcanic soil. Nerello Mascalese from vines up to 100 years old grown in black pumice on the northern slopes of Etna. Organic farming on an active volcano. The terroir does things here that no other place on earth replicates. One of the most exciting bottles in the collection and one I genuinely open at home.
