“Notes of fresh red berries, wet, chalky earth, and toasted shortbread. It boasts a linear intensity, with a coiled and nervous energy at this early stage and has a long finish, with its citrus-noted fruit lasting long after the wine is gone. So mouthwatering and salty, with electric energy.”

“Precision bubbly from a legacy producer, built vintage by vintage.”.

Napoleon Bonaparte was known to detour for Jacquesson on his way to battle. The judgment was sound.
Cuvee 748 marks the 20th anniversary of Jacquesson’s numbered series, each release representing the finest expression of its base vintage. This edition is built on the 2020 harvest 45% Chardonnay, 31% Pinot Noir, 24% Pinot Meunier from Grand Cru and Premier Cru vineyards across the Vallee de la Marne and Cote des Blancs. No fining. No filtration. Fermented in large oak vats. Disgorged August 2024 with just 2 g/L dosage. Citrus zest, white peach, green apple, brioche, hazelnut and chalky minerality on the nose. Taut, vinous and focused on the palate with a long, mineral-driven finish. Drink 2025 through 2035. 94 pts Jeb Dunnuck.
