A single 3.5 hectare parcel in Trigny. Equal parts Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier. No malolactic fermentation. 36 months on lees in steel. 1 gram dosage.
Les Premices is where Egly-Ouriet begins, and beginning this conversation here is already an education. Apple, citrus, dried flowers, crushed stone, vanilla on the nose. Ultra-fine mousse. A crystalline freshness and precision that is quintessentially this domaine. Lighter in weight than the Grand Cru but not in conviction. A bottle that makes you want to immediately open the next one in the lineup.
