Founded by Michael Browne, the acclaimed co-founder of Kosta Browne, CHEV represents the next chapter in a career dedicated to crafting some of California's most compelling cool-climate wines. Named in honor of his father, the estate reflects Browne's belief that truly great Chardonnay should be defined by precision, texture, and a profound sense of place rather than weight or excessive oak. Every decision, from vineyard selection to élevage, is made with the goal of allowing the Russian River Valley to speak with clarity and elegance.

The 2021 CHEV Russian River Valley Chardonnay is sourced from exceptional vineyard sites planted to Hudson Wente, Hyde Wente, and Spring Mountain selections, each contributing its own dimension of richness, freshness, and structure. Fermented in a thoughtful combination of French oak barrels, concrete eggs, and concrete amphorae, then aged for 15 months, the wine achieves remarkable texture while preserving vibrant acidity and mineral precision. Aromas of white peach, Meyer lemon, citrus blossom, and crushed stone lead into layers of Asian pear, brioche, toasted hazelnut, and saline minerality, finishing with exceptional length and balance.
