Lail Vineyards Blueprint Cabernet Sauvignon
Eleven Great Napa Vineyards. One Remarkable Cabernet.
"Nicely balanced and fresh, with early-drinking appeal. " -James Suckling.
Lail Vineyards is one of Napa Valley's most respected family-owned estates, led by Robin Daniel Lail, whose family's legacy stretches back to Captain Gustave Niebaum and the founding of Inglenook. Today, alongside daughters Erin and Shannon Lail, the estate continues its pursuit of elegant, age-worthy Napa Valley wines under the guidance of renowned winemakers Philippe Melka and Maayan Koschitzky.
The 2022 Blueprint Cabernet Sauvignon blends 97% Cabernet Sauvignon with 3% Petit Verdot, sourced from 11 distinguished vineyard sites spanning Calistoga, Rutherford, Oakville, Howell Mountain, Coombsville, Yountville, and Stags Leap District. Aged for 17 months in 65% new French oak, the wine reveals aromas of blackcurrant, Bing cherry, boysenberry, cocoa, graphite, sage, and black olive, leading to a richly layered palate with polished tannins, lively acidity, and exceptional balance. Despite the challenges of the 2022 growing season, the wine retains freshness and precision while delivering classic Napa depth.
