Lail Vineyards carries one of Napa Valley's most extraordinary family histories. Robin Daniel Lail descends from Gustave Niebaum, founder of Inglenook, and today works alongside daughters Erin and Shannon Lail to continue that legacy with a distinctly forward-looking philosophy. Acclaimed winemakers Philippe Melka and Maayan Koschitzky oversee the wines, combining Napa pedigree with precision, balance and a deep respect for the vineyards.
The 2024 Blueprint Sauvignon Blanc is made entirely from Sauvignon Blanc sourced across Coombsville, Yountville and Atlas Peak. The wine is fermented in French oak barrels, 35% new, then remains seven months sur lie in those same barrels. Production totaled just 1,056 cases.
The result is unusually complete Sauvignon Blanc. Aromas of guava, sweet pea, citrus peel and lemongrass lead into green apple, melon and Bosc pear, while barrel fermentation contributes creamy texture without diminishing the wine's crisp acidity and mineral character. The finish is long, fresh and precise.
