William Kelley of The Wine Advocate calls Francis Egly the most precise and meticulous winemaker in Champagne. Antonio Galloni places this domaine at the very top of the pecking order in Champagne today. After one sip, you will understand why.
70% Pinot Noir and 30% Chardonnay from old vines in Ambonnay, Bouzy, Verzenay and Verzy, aged for a minimum of three years in bottle. Vinified entirely in wood. Honeyed pear, white flowers, mint, praline, red berries, blood orange on the nose. Medium to full bodied on the palate with tangy acidity, a creamy texture and a long saline finish. This is what NV Champagne looks like when it is built with Grand Cru discipline, barrel ageing and no shortcuts. Drink now through 2037. 95 Pts Decanter.
