From vines that suffer millerandage on the mid-slope of one of Burgundy’s greatest and most misunderstood Grand Crus, the 2023 arrives with wilted iris, violet petals, detailed black and blueberry fruit on the nose. On the palate it is intense, complex, with fine tannins and insistent grip and a saline, perfumed finish that does not quit. More concentrated and complete than any recent release from this address. Begin drinking 2033. Peak drinking 2038 through 2100. No decanting – allow to breathe in glass for 30 minutes. 95-97 pts Neal Martin, Vinous.
