The 2023 Corison Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is Cathy Corison's classic expression of Napa Cabernet, sourced from three benchland vineyards between Rutherford and St. Helena. Since founding Corison in 1987, Cathy has pursued a distinctly restrained style of Cabernet, favoring balance, natural acidity and longevity over excessive ripeness or extraction.
The 2023 comes from a long, cool Napa growing season particularly well suited to that philosophy. Dark cherry and cassis meet violets, graphite, herbs and mineral notes, framed by fresh acidity and finely structured tannins. It is a Cabernet built around perfume and precision rather than sheer weight, and one intended to develop for decades in the cellar.
