Raen Royal St Robert Cuvee Pinot Noir
One Of The Defining Pinot Noirs Of Modern California.
"#1 USA Wine of 2025" - James Suckling.
Founded by Carlo and Dante Mondavi, RAEN (Research in Agriculture and Enology Naturally) has emerged as one of California's benchmark Pinot Noir estates through an unwavering commitment to regenerative farming and coastal viticulture. Working exclusively with cool, windswept Sonoma Coast vineyards, the brothers produce wines that emphasize purity, transparency, and longevity rather than extraction or excessive oak.
The 2024 Royal St. Robert Cuvée is dedicated to their grandfather, Robert Mondavi, whose philosophy of stewardship continues to inspire the estate. Drawn from 15.8 acres of organically and regeneratively farmed vineyards planted to Calera, Swan, 667, 115, and 777 clones, the wine is fermented with 100% whole clusters, native yeasts, and matured entirely in neutral French oak before being bottled unfined and unfiltered. The result is a Pinot Noir that layers rose petals, wild strawberry, raspberry, blood orange marmalade, thyme, rosemary, sea moss, and coastal forest floor over a refined, energetic palate with exceptional persistence.
