The Guy Larmandier Vertus Premier Cru Brut Zéro comes entirely from Vertus, one of the historic Premier Cru villages of the Côte des Blancs. The blend is 90% Chardonnay and 10% Pinot Noir, bringing together the chalk-driven precision of Chardonnay with a small amount of Pinot Noir for additional fruit and breadth.
With zero dosage, there is no added sugar after disgorgement to soften the wine. Yet this is not an austere Champagne. Vertus naturally gives the wine a broader, more generous texture, balancing its floral character, bright fruit and intense chalky minerality. The wine spends approximately three years on its lees before disgorgement, adding texture and complexity while preserving its clean, mineral personality.
